DERVIS AGA won the G1 BYERLEY TURK Stakes


BYERLEY TURK Stakes (G1) was held on 14th October Sunday at Istanbul Veliefendi Racecourse.

DERVIS AGA (Unaccounted For-Mesitas/ Surumu) thoroughbred race horse owned by Mr Nevzat Unlu, with the jockey Mehmet Kaya with a degree of 2.03.59, won the 2012 Byerley Turk Stakes (G1). Two 3-year-old horses, Invasion and Fast Stars Line, attended to the race, which is raced on 2000 meters polytrack in which 3-year-old+ Thoroughbreds participated.

WHITE RAM (Sri Pekan-Endless Freedom/ Zilzal) came second, 2012 Yavuz Sultan Selim Stakes winner BELMONT (Bosporus-Mask Flower/Dayjur) came third, and 2011 Turkish 2.000 Guineas winner DUTYFREE (Luxor-Freezone/ Wolf) came fourth. In the race, margins were Head- 2 Lengths--Head.

Dervis Aga has won 16 of his 46 races, which includes 5 Grade 1 winning. His earnings also rises to 2.123.186 TL with this race.

TALIP HAN won the G1 Caldiran Stakes


Caldiran Stakes (G1) was held on 14th October Sunday at Istanbul Veliefendi Racecourse.

TALIP HAN (Oratorio-Idle Rich/ Sky Classic) thoroughbred race horse owned by Mr Talip Ozturk, with the jockey Halis Karatas with a degree of 1.36.40, won the 2012 Caldiran Stakes (G1). 12 colts and 6 fillies attended to the race, which is raced on 1600 meters turf in which 2-year-old Thoroughbreds participated. It was also TALIP HAN's first winning in his 5th race, whose racing career started on August 8th, 2012. Winning owner Talip Ozturk's KALIMDOR, son of Cape Cross out of Dawn Surprise by Theatrical, also won this race last year.

G2 T.Y.A.Y.S.D winner OBIWAN (Always A Classic -- Emine Hanım/ Distant Relative) came second, Sabirli Stakes (Condition Race) winner ONASSIS (Panis-Cayenne Cat/ Tabasco Cat) came third, and Gumuldur Race (Listed) winner FOREVER QUICK (Perfect Storm-Paoenia/ Pelder) came fourth. In the race, margins were ½ Boy -- ½ Boy- Nose.
